After using the iOS Music player on my iPhone for several years, I find it really difficult to access albums or songs from the now playing screen. The iOS redesign focuses on an updated style that represents a better a modern approach to User experience and design trends.
One of the main problem with the current iOS music player was that it took almost 7 clicks to access the albums screen or even to get to the songs screens. The second problem I had with the music player was that I could not really skip the song or perform any acitons to the current song while browsing the albums or artists or any other screen apart from the now playing screen.
Another issue was the feature to add a song to the current playlist from the songs list or to delete the multiple songs was really hard.
After identifying the problem, I did a little research on how other popular music players are designed, also spoke to couple of my friends to understand if they also happen to face the similar problems. Based on my research I found that users are not able to perform certain action because of the limited user experience with the current ios player.
Around 60% of the users wanted to have an option of having the operations performed for a song while they were browsing other screens in the music player. About 40% of the users did mention about finding it really difficult to delete multiple songs and also unable to access the albums easily.
Some of the key things to look for in obersvation is
Wireframes are very helpful while creating a design. It shows the dependency between the screens. It helps you to work faster with fewer details to visual elements and focuses more on the user flow and user experience.
